Taper’s Notes:
This was the my first show recorded using the Panasonic mics
and the results leave much to be desired. I was using plug-in
power and positioned a pretty good distance from the pa’s but
the bass was just too much for these cheap mics. You’ll notice
right away the fuzzy low-end throughout the recording but to
be honest, this still isn’t the worst sounding Deftones audience
recording out there. It’s been locked up on minidisc for more
than 2 years due to the fact that I haven’t had anything to play
it back on for transfer until now. I drove 2 hours on I-95 to
get to this show and was a little let down by their performance.
They all seemed pretty effed up. Regardless, here it is, along
with the much better recording from the following night in Orlando.
Don’t trade this around in lossy format or try to sell. Enjoy!
